Vaults — How it works

What is a vault?

A vault is a private, chest-based storage tied to your player. The plugin designates one chest as your vault chest and uses a configured barrel as a backup container.

How to create / place a vault

  • Place a chest where you want your vault.
  • Build the required iron frame around the chest. The plugin checks this structure and will only allow access when the frame is intact.

Vault Structure: The frame must match this layout:

Required Vault Structure
Required iron frame around the chest.

Opening your vault

  • Right-click the vault chest to open the vault GUI.
  • Only the vault owner can open their chest.
  • If the vault structure is broken, the chest will not open.

The Bank and paying rent

  • Use the command /vault and open the Bank GUI to pay weekly rent for additional slots.
  • The plugin warns when rent is near due (yellow message) and when overdue (red message) at login.

Barrel (backup) behavior

  • Each player has a configured barrel location that acts as a backup container.
  • You can open the barrel even if the vault structure is broken.
  • When the vault is damaged, items are gradually moved to the barrel to protect them from loss.

What happens if the structure is broken

  • The vault chest cannot be opened while the structure is incomplete.
  • The plugin will notify you with messages about the broken vault.

Quick player tips

  • Always keep the iron frame intact to avoid losing direct chest access.
  • If your vault is broken, access your barrel to retrieve items.
